Seeing Beyond 20/20
At Integrative Vision Institute, we believe vision is about far more than simply seeing clearly. The visual system plays a critical role in how we learn, move, focus, process information, perform at work or school, and experience the world around us.
Our approach combines modern diagnostic technology with a deeper understanding of how the eyes and brain work together — allowing us to provide personalized care that goes beyond the standard eye exam.
A More Functional Approach to Eye Care
We focus on identifying the root causes of visual discomfort, performance challenges, and long-term eye health concerns through comprehensive, individualized care.
Whether a patient is struggling with headaches, eye strain, dry eye symptoms, learning-related visual challenges, progressive myopia, glaucoma, or complex visual needs, our goal is to create treatment plans that support lasting visual comfort, function, and quality of life.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we prioritize thoughtful evaluations, advanced imaging, patient education, and customized solutions designed around each individual’s lifestyle and goals.
Our Philosophy
We believe exceptional care begins with listening.
Every patient’s visual experience is unique, which is why we take the time to understand symptoms, lifestyle demands, health history, and long-term goals before developing a treatment plan. Our mission is to help patients not only see better, but function better — with vision that supports everyday life comfortably and efficiently.
FAQs-
Vision therapy is designed to improve how the eyes and brain work together. Many visual issues are not caused by blurry eyesight alone, but by difficulties with eye coordination, focusing, tracking, or visual processing. These challenges can impact reading, learning, attention, comfort during screen use, sports performance, and everyday activities. Vision therapy helps strengthen these visual skills through personalized, guided treatment programs.

In most cases, no. Vision therapy is typically completed over a structured period of time, depending on the patient’s needs and goals. Many patients complete therapy within several months to a year, while others may benefit from occasional maintenance exercises or follow-up visits. Our goal is to create long-term improvement and lasting visual function — not endless treatment.

Yes. We understand that vision therapy and specialty care programs are an investment, and we offer flexible payment options to help make treatment more accessible for families and patients. Our team is happy to discuss available payment plans during your consultation.

We are currently a private-pay practice and do not directly accept vision or medical insurance. This allows us to provide longer appointment times, highly personalized care, and comprehensive treatment programs without many of the limitations often imposed by insurance plans.
Depending on your plan, some services may qualify for partial reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, HSA, or FSA accounts. We are happy to provide documentation upon request.

Every patient is different, but many patients begin noticing improvements within the first several weeks of therapy. Early changes may include reduced eye strain, improved comfort while reading, better attention, fewer headaches, or improved visual coordination. More significant and lasting improvements typically build over time with consistency and participation in the treatment plan.

Most functional visual problems do not simply disappear with age. In some cases, children learn to compensate for visual difficulties, but the underlying issue may still affect reading, attention, learning, sports, or visual comfort. Early intervention can help address these challenges before they become more frustrating or impact confidence and performance over time.

Yes — when properly prescribed for the right conditions, vision therapy is supported by clinical research and decades of use in developmental and rehabilitative vision care. It is commonly used to treat issues involving eye teaming, focusing, tracking, convergence insufficiency, visual processing challenges, and certain post-concussion visual symptoms.
Vision therapy is highly individualized, which is why a comprehensive evaluation is essential to determine whether a patient is a good candidate and what type of treatment may be most beneficial.
